Frequently Asked Questions

An enjoyable walk of more than 10 days and less than 2 weeks, where you will be exploring lovely hill villages facing constant views of peaks. As well as trekking into a cool beautiful forest of rhododendron and pine trees.

Annapurna Base Camp and Poon Hill located within Annapurna Himalaya require trekking permits TIMS (Trekking Information Management Systems), as well ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) entry fee.

Not a problem, as this trek falls on the main popular trekking routes, where all villages are on the way to Ghorepani and on route to Annapurna base camp, one can find nice lodges with a long list of good food menu, from continental, Indian, Chinese, Tibetan and Nepalese meals. Lodge with attached bath or common running hot and cold showers. But from Chomrong village to base camp, the accommodation will be simple but clean.

Nearly all lodges on main trails around Annapurna do have hydroelectricity with some places having solar power, where guest can charge their electronic appliances, on paying some fees for charging your gadgets.

It is not a difficult or tough walk, but yes it leads to many steep ups and downhills, like in all Himalayas regions. But taking it slowly with enough rest stops will be all right, walking on well-defined trails is not overall difficult. Where all age-group can handle the walks to Annapurna Base Camp and Poon Hill.

An unforgettable trip of my life

Annapurna Base Camp with Poonhill Trekking will be an unforgettable moment in my life. I thoroughly enjoyed and provided unforgettable service through the Hiker Himalaya Treks company. I got very good service and got a chance to understand many things from Prakash during the trek. He provides excellent service and on-time responses during the trek; I never felt tired while trekking with him; he will tell some funny jokes, and I will be energetic on the way. If you are traveling to Nepal, I strongly urge you to do so with this company.
