You will be picked up from the International Airport by our representatives who will transfer you to a good hotel. Our representative will help you with the check in and any required formalities. You can relax at the hotel and have a short trip to our site for any detailed clarification. A warm and authentic Nepali meal will be offered to you at dinner and later you can enjoy some folk cultural music and dance.
Kathmandu Valley has lots of places of religious and cultural importance. You will be taken for sightseeing around Swayambunath (Monkey Temple with a dome-shaped pilgrimage situated on a hillock), Pashupatinath Temple (one of the largest temples of Lord Shiva), Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bouddhanath, Patan Durbar square. Some of these sites are enlisted in the UNESCO world heritage sites and are definitely worth taking a tour. You will pack your gears and prepare for the trip starting tomorrow.
After your early breakfast, you will set out for Pokhara by private vehicle. The tourist bus will take around 7 hours to reach Pokhara, and the ride moves up and down the hilly scenic roads, passing through rivers, terrific terrace-farmed villages, and many more. Pokhara is a small valley surrounded by magnificent mighty mountains: Annapurna, Fish Tail, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu. The valley rests on the bank of Phewa Lake, and the lakeside is a peaceful escape from the hectic capital, Kathmandu. Resting overnight fills you with energy for your marvelous trek beginning early in the morning.
Leaving Pokhara behind and driving for an hour and a half, you will find yourself at the starting line of this trek. The trek follows the banks of Modi Khola, passing through the village of Birethanti (1015m). Trekking further and on a small climb, you pass through Hile (1495m) and climb further-reaching your first destination (1960m). The trek is short and serves as a warm-up. You can enjoy the wonderful place, and talk to the friendly locals. Stay overnight at the tea house.
After an early breakfast, you will head up a steppe climb to Ulleri. The large Magar village stays at 2080m and gives amazing scenes of dense forests of oak and rhododendrons. Ascend further to Banthali (2250m), and trek to Nangethati (2460m). The walk over the long stairs finally reaches Ghorepani (2855m). Overnight stay in Ghorepani.
Hiking very early in the morning, you will follow the best sunrise on this trek. Following the trekking guide, start trekking through the long stairs for the unobstructed sunrise between the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Dhampus, Nilgiri, Annapurna range, Fishtail, Lamjung, etc. The splendid sunrise slowly reveals the mountain surrounding you. An extremely panoramic view that will warm you up. Explore the hillock and descend down to Ghorepani. After your breakfast, follow the route that leads to Tadapani. The route passes through forests of rhododendron, and pine forests and ridges on the way.
Start your day with a steep downhill trek through the rhododendron forests, into the Gurung village. The village is a Gurung community and follows a relatively easy trail from there, reach Chhomrong (2170m) then continue to walk downhill Chhomrong Khola then climb uphill for Sinuwa an overnight stay at Sinuwa.
Starting an early easy walk from Sinuwa exists till bamboo passing Kuldhighar along from there steep stone staircase takes us to Dhobhan, crossing the suspension bridge and numerous rhododendron and oak forests. Steady and steep climb continuous through the valley towards Himalaya and Hinku Cave, to reach Deurali, and this night will be spent at the lodge in Deurali.
This day is fascinating since you will be reaching your main destination of the entire trek; Annapurna Base Camp. After walking across uphill slopes, you will eventually reach the higher elevation with exquisite views of Annapurna peak. Explored back in 1956 the area is now dubbed as the Sanctuary of Gods due to its mesmerizing close-up views of the mountain ranges. Enjoy the panoramic views of Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhare, and Annapurna range. The trek ascends higher through the snow boulders, and small streams form from them. The trail opens up into the sanctuary, following a stream and climbing through a few huts along the moraine. The mighty Mt. Annapurna towers over the sanctuary providing sensational 360-degree panoramic views along with the Machhapuchhare, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, etc. The views here are the highlight of the trek and are a wondrous experience and a great achievement. Say overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.
Wake up early, and enjoy the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas from Base Camp. After breakfast, descend down to Machhapuchare Base Camp, Deurali, Dovan, and reach Bamboo (2310m). Enjoy the magnificent waterfalls from where it begins, the beautiful alpine forests, and great views of Fishtail and Hiunchuli mountains. Overnight in Bamboo.
Ascend steep to Khuldighar and follow the stone steps to Lower Chhomrong. Climb the Upper Chhomrong following the thousand stony steps. Next, descend to Jhinu Danda for an overnight stay. You can enjoy the preferred natural hot spring by following the 15 minutes walk from Jhinu Danda. Relax and release your tiredness in the hot spring.
Descend the trail, and follow the flat land reaching Himal Pani (Mountain water) where you can enjoy the beautiful waterfall. Ascend gently crossing multiple streams and terrace farms reaching Landruk village (1545m), a big village mixed of Gurung, Magar, and Brahmin families. Ascend to Tolka (1700m), and ascend to Bherikharkha. Follow the steep route to Deurali (2100m) savoring the beautiful panorama of the mountain peaks. Descend gradually through the oak forests reaching Pothana. It is a small town inhabited by Gurung communities.
Descending from Pothana through a gradual descend, you reach Dhampus, and trekking further ahead reaches Dhampus Phedi. You will get onto a private vehicle and drive to Pokhara. The drive takes no more than 30-40 minutes to reach Pokhara, where you will stay for the night.
After your breakfast, get onto the tourist bus and head towards Kathmandu valley. The scenic hilly drive passes through Damauli, Mugling, Kurintar, etc. Enjoy the mountain views, green hills, terraced farms, and daily activities. You can opt to fly to Kathmandu, a 30 minutes flight.
Our representatives will drop you at the airport, a few hours before your scheduled flight and bid farewell with a proper gesture. As you onboard, and fly towards your destination, your memories of the trek will cheer you up, and you will be willing to come back to Nepal for your next adventure.
