Trekking Equipment List to bring or can hire in Kathmandu:

Springtime or autumn and winter seasons will be almost the same weather and climate-wise, depending upon the altitude of the trekking route and destinations. In spring the sunlight hours are longer, than in mid-autumn and winter cold months.

Throughout the year in the high Himalayan mountainous region, above 2,000 m altitude remains cold, but the daytime is pleasant with enough sun till late afternoon. For trekking besides your personal belonging, for trek short or longer treks need to bring the following equipment and gear.

Sun Hat, Woolen Beni, Down Jacket, Sleeping Bags, Sun Glass, Sunscreen cream, good pair and comfortable trekking boots, Runners or sport shoes, rucksack as a day pack, kit or duffel bags with padlocks to be carried by porters, gloves, scarf's, plastic garbage bags to keep things dry, warm gloves, torch /flashlight, personal medical kit, woolen socks at least 6 pairs, 4 pairs of normal socks, fleece, wind or rain jacket, 1-liter water bottle, stamina or re-hydration powder, Thermal underwear, and vest. Walking / or ski poles (as optional).

Please check that most local or abroad agents provide sleeping bags and down jackets including duffel or kit bags, for the trek only including companies' T-shirts.

Trekking Peaks equipment list to bring or hire in Kathmandu:
