Due to strong UV that shines above 3,000 m high, where the air is much thinner.  It also depends upon the seasons, like the springtime of March to May with pleasant weather with enough sun, as well in autumn September to November. Morning and nighttime can be cold with an extra wind chill factor.

However cold the Himalayas, get cold weather nearly all seasons of the year as you are trekking around the highest region on this planet, where freezing temperatures of arctic cold can be experienced around Himalaya.
