Annapurna Region Trek

Annapurna Region trek, a massive mountain range of Nepal Mid-West Himalaya, where trekkers can visit both sides of the great Annapurna Himalaya. Annapurna Region is a country of dramatic and amazing landscapes with changes in temperatures, scenery, and cultures almost on daily walks.

Various adventure destinations to choose from in the North to Southern areas of the Annapurna Himalaya mountain range. Where the trek leads from green hills to remorseless fields of ice and glaciers with constant views of high snow-capped peaks.

Annapurna Region with a wide range of destinations for veteran adventurers to beginners is a unique country besides its breathtaking views. The local culture of hills and mountain villages is equally fascinating and interesting.  

trekkers will be overwhelmed with so many places scenic places to experience from a few day's walks to more than two weeks long. As you trek along from low warm paddy fields reaching cooler alpine hills and ending at artic high mountainous zone.

Some of the areas around the Annapurna Region are listed as the world's best adventure destinations like the Annapurna Circuit. A trek that takes you behind the Annapurna Himalaya range and then completes towards the southern areas of Annapurna.

Whichever route you trek, the views of Annapurna peaks remain constant throughout the walks with a great change of climate and vegetation. Annapurna's southern region, the hills, and valleys are covered with an enchanting forest of rhododendron, magnolia, oaks, hemlocks, pines, and fir tree lines.

The springtime of March to May is the best time for treks to witness wildflowers in full bloom, especially the rhododendron. The national flower of Nepal, where different species are found from tall trees to short bushes of rhododendron.

The most popular trekking destinations around Annapurna Region:
Ghorepani and Poon Hill, a moderate-grade trek that takes you to high Poon hill at  3, 210 m. Offers stunning sunrise over Himalayan peaks that includes Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu range with majestic Machhapuchare Himal the famous Fish-Tail peak.

Annapurna Base Camp and Sanctuary, a weeklong trek or more takes you to the heart of Annapurna sanctuary enclosed within an array of high snow peaks. Mardi Himal, another fresh area getting much more popular a trek that reaches you at the height of 4,500 m and 14,763 feet high at Mardi Himal base, and is close to towering Machhapuchare Himal.

Panchase Hill is a short trek of a few days a great walk with a panorama of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu Himal range.

Annapurna Circuit, the most popular longer trek of more than ten days involves a high pass of Thorang-La at 5, 415 m, a scenic, and cultural trekking adventure. Within far North of Annapurna, visit Nar and Phu villages around remote corners of Manang valley. Involves Kang-La 5,322 m high pass to cross, special permit required to enter the restricted region.

Tilicho Lake, another beautiful place to trek, located around Manang valley, can combine Tilicho Lake with the Annapurna circuit trek with extra days.
