Bhaktapur Durbar Square sightseeing:

It is regarded as the abode of traditional Nepali culture, customs, and unique arts of wood and pottery. The historical monument signifies the medieval age culture and tradition of Nepal and this old city is inhabited by indigenous Newari people in a large group. The main attractive monuments are Nyatapola Temple, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, the Peacock Window, the Golden Gate, and the fifty-five-windowed palace of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is listed as one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites is the main central square of Bhaktapur. The Durbar square is a major attraction of the city decorated with intricate shrines and gracefully carved pieces of artwork. Pottery Square is a distinct square that you must visit within Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

The temple is open to the public once a year during the great Nepalese festival, Dashain. This intricately designed five-storied temple will not fail to amuse you.

In short, Bhaktapur is a very properly planned ancient city with numerous religious temples, perfect squares, and sunken wells. The busy streets display lots of cultural handicrafts that make perfect souvenirs. You can shop around the durbar square area while observing the local lifestyle.

You can try some famous Newari dishes while you are around the durbar square area. You will surely not regret trying the traditional Newari cuisine.
