Over the years from the 1950s, trekking started first with a mountaineering expedition to Mt. Everest and other major peaks. In those days, the main trekking was done carrying full camping equipment and food with other provisions. For the whole trekking and expedition duration from a month or more, as years passed slowly small tea houses flourished.
