Nagarjun Hiking is the nearest hill Nagarjun is also known as Jamachowk. From Nagarjun hill we can see Kathmandu valley which is covered by thick forest with historical as well as natural settings situated North West of Kathmandu valley which is a part of Shivapuri National park. On the top of the hill, a beautiful Jamacho monastery is situated where we can find the small statue of Nagarjuna Buddha, Similarly, on the west of the hills, we can find a cave. There is the statue of Lord Buddha and Arya Narayajuna.
This area is protected by the Shivapuri Nagarjuna National Park conversation area. Apart from religious and spiritual importance, Nagarjuna is also famous for its natural beauty.
We can have magnificent views of the Annapurna Himalayan range, Manaslu Himalayan range, Ganesh Himal mountains, and Langtang Himalayan range from the top of the hill. Nagarjun hill or Jamacho (Jamachowk) is also famous for its sunset view in the evening. And of course the Kathmandu valley view including Tribhuvan international airport. Nagarjun hill hiking is also a part of the Kathmandu trek around Kathmandu valley. Nagarjun hills are one of the nearest hiking spots for Kathmandu.

Day 1 : Jamacho gumba hiking:
8.30: Drive to Phulbari Gate, using the Private Vehicle. 9: Phulbari Gate and Start the Hike.11.30: clock Jamacho Peak. 11.30-12.30: Explore around and Sightsee the Himalayas, landscapes, and Kathmandu valley. 12.30: Start downward Hike. 1.30: Back to Phulbari Gate. 2.00: Drive back to your hotel.
After your breakfast, meet the guide at the Nature Trail office and drive towards the Balaju, Nagarjun entrance Point, after 25–30 minutes from the Thamel (Touristic Hub) drive we arrive at the entrance gate and your Guide will arrange your Permit at the entrance point, you need to carry the Passport copy.
After the permits are issued, hiking start with the steep stairs in between dense forest mostly, varieties of flora welcome you with their lovely smell and birds welcome you with a mesmerizing tune, around one and half hour of walking brings up another army check Point they suggest between 4:30 to 5:pm we must be already back to that point.
They check the permit and let us move and now this will be relief time and we will be walking very easily in the flat path for around 20 minutes and again sometimes stairs and the sometimes flat way we arrive in open space from where we can see the rush Kathmandu, dense forest of this Jungle, here we can relax and enjoy the view for few minutes and continue our Hiking again steep stairs starts until we arrive in the top of the Jamacho Peak. From the top, we can enjoy the beautiful jungle and Mountain Range if the weather is clear, the stupa is mostly covered with the Prayer Flag around.
We enjoy our packed Lunch here and capture the Picture all around, after around half an hour we start our descent back. We will arrive at the ending Point within 2 Maximum hours.
