Everest Base Camp trek offers a close-up view of the highest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest. Everest Base Camp trek takes you to the lap of the highest mountain range and provides a panoramic view of surrounding mountains like Nuptse, Khumbu, Pumori, Ama Dablam, and more. Walking from the challenging trails into elegant geographies with rich cultures and traditions of the people residing in the Khumbu region is the highlight of the entire trek. One of the most enticing treks in the geographically diverse land of Nepal, Everest Base Camp trek offers a thirst-quenching walk to all nature lovers and travel enthusiasts.
The Everest Base Camp trek begins from the wonderful Lukla and takes around 13 to 15 days for completion. Then from Namche Bazaar, the central hub in the Khumbu region, the trail leads to Dingboche and eventually Everest Base Camp. Everest Base camp is not just enough, so the trail leads to Kalapatthar, a viewpoint from where all the highest mountain ranges are seen with clarity.
The trek, although considered challenging, can be acclaimed with ease if enough precaution and care are taken. To avoid unfortunate events, it is best to follow the guide and consult with our staff before embarking on this adventure which will be imprinted in the mind for years to come.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)
Day 02: Trek preparation in Kathmandu:
Day 03: Flight to Lukla(2820) and trek to Pakding(2640 m)- 4 hours:
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)-05 hours:
Day 05: Acclimatize at Namche Bazaar
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Thyangboche (3867 m)-05 hours
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4260 m)- 04 hours
Day 08: Acclimatize at Dingboche
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche (4930 m)- 05 hours
Day 10: Trek towards Gorakshep(5170m) and to Everest Base Camp (5334 m):
Day 11: Hike to Kalapatthar( 5545 m) then trek to Pheriche (4240m) – 6hours:
Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3340m)-6 hours
Day 13: Trek back to Lukla (2820m)- 06 hours:
Day 14: Flight to Kathmandu

Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)
The tour begins as you arrive in Kathmandu Valley, the central hub of Nepal. You will be picked from the Tribhuvan International Airport and be transferred to your respective hotels. Warm and authentic Nepali meal will be offered to you at dinner and later you can enjoy some folk cultural music and dance.
Trek preparation in Kathmandu
On this day, you will be briefed about the Everest Base Camp trek by the guide. The agents will help you sort and prepare the required documents for the trek and will also guide you for packing the bags with necessary clothing, food items, and equipment. After the preparation, you can opt for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. You can visit places like Patan, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You can visit world heritage sites like Boudhanath, Swayambhunath or Pashupatinath. Stay overnight at respective hotel.
Flight to Lukla(2820) and trek to Pakding(2640 m)- 4 hours:
On this day, after breakfast, you will head to the airport and take a domestic scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which is the starting point of the trek to Everest Base Camp. The flight will take you across the green landscape and then snow covered geography within 45 minutes. After the breathtaking scenery, you will begin your trek from Lukla to Phakding which is a short hike. Stay overnight at Phakding.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)-05 hours:
You will be heading towards Namche Bazaar which is the central tourist hub in Khumbu Region. You will enter the Sagarmatha National Park and walk through Dudh Kosh upstream. After crossing bridges, you will eventually head to Namche Bazaar which is the last town in the region. Overnight at Lodge.
Acclimatize at Namche Bazaar
This day is set aside for acclimatization purpose so that your body does not succumb to altitude sickness. On this day, after breakfast, you will head to the National Park headquarters for sightseeing. You can hike to the nearby areas with mesmerizing views of different mountains in the Khumbu region.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Thyangboche (3867 m)-05 hours
You will set out on a hike towards Thyangboche from Namche Bazaar. The short hike will take you past mani walls and monasteries along the way. On the way, you can visit monasteries and take blessings from high priests.
Trek to Dingboche (4260 m)- 04 hours
After having breakfast, take the trail towards Dingboche which is a short hike. Along the way, you will walk through forests of pines and rhododendron. From an exposed area, you can get the up-close view of Mount Ama Dablam which is completely mesmerizing.
Acclimatize at Dingboche
This day has been set aside for acclimatizing at Dingboche. Acclimatization is very important since there is a significant change in the altitude which might eventually result in altitude sickness. You can take a short hike uphill and get the exquisite views of the nearby mountain range.
Trek to Lobuche (4930 m)- 05 hours
After Breakfast, you will head towards Lobuche. The trail will lead to Thugla which is a large summer pasture and meadow. Eventually, you will walk past stone monuments and reach Khumbu Glacier. The monuments are placed there to commemorate the mountaineers and climbers who have lost their lives during their climb. The view from Lobuche is very beautiful on a clear day.
Trek towards Gorakshep(5170m) and to Everest Base Camp (5334 m):
On this day, you will walk from Lobuche towards Gorakshep. Upon reaching the pasture, you will walk towards Everest Base Camp. The Everest Base Camp will welcome you will panoramic views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Nupste, Pumori, Khubutse, and more. The Everest Base Camp is the highlight of the entire trek. Set camp for overnight stay.
Hike to Kalapatthar( 5545 m) then trek to Pheriche (4240m) – 6hours:
After breakfast, you will Hike towards Kalapatthar which is a hilltop black ridge that offers a mesmerizing and up close view of all the surrounding mountains at a 360-degree angle. Many trekkers consider Kalapthhar as the main highlight of the trek due to the panoramic views. Mount Everest looks even more enticing from Kala Patthar. After enjoying the view and taking a few pictures you will head towards Pheriche. Stay overnight at camp.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3340m)-6 hours
On this day, you will trek from Pheriche towards Namche Bazaar and mark your return. Along the way, you will bid farewell to the lovely mountains, flora, and fauna. With the Dudh Koshi on the side, you will eventually reach Namche where you can have warm drinks and meal.
Trek back to Lukla (2820m)- 06 hours:
From Namche Bazar, you will head back to Lukla. You will have to say goodbye to the rich tradition and amazing lifestyle of the Sherpa Community living in Namche. After reaching Lukla, you can enjoy with some folklore, cultural dances along with warm mean and local drinks. Stay overnight at lodge.
Flight to Kathmandu
This day marks as the end of your stay in the lovely Khumbu region. You will head towards the domestic airport in Lukla and take a 45-minute flight towards Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you can prepare for homeward bound for the next day. At night, you will be offered a farewell meal and can also enjoy pubs in Thamel or can go for souvenir shopping. Stay overnight at Hotel.
After having breakfast, you are dropped to the Tribhuvan International Airport for Homeward Bound. You can visit Nepal for your next adventure after the successful and exciting Everest Base Camp trek.
